Privacy Policy

Still outstanding: this policy references a legal entity that isn't registered yet (see the Terms of Service) — have a lawyer review this page once that's in place and before relying on it as a final launch document.

1. What we collect

Account info: name, email, phone number, country/location, password (stored hashed).
Listing content: titles, descriptions, prices, photos you upload.
Messages you send to other users through the Platform.
Payment and order records (amounts, status) — card details are handled entirely by Paystack; we never see or store your card number.
Verification documents (ID, license) if you complete identity or license verification.

2. How we use it

To operate your account, show your listings to other users, process orders and escrow, send transactional emails (login codes, order updates, receipts), detect fraud and abuse, and improve the Platform.

3. Who we share it with

Paystack — processes payments and escrow.
Resend — sends transactional email (verification codes, password resets, order notices).
Vercel — hosts the Platform and stores uploaded images.
Other users — your listing photos, title/description, general location, and (if you choose) your name are visible to anyone browsing the marketplace; your email/phone are only shared with a buyer or seller you're actively transacting with.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Cookies & sessions

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

5. Data retention

We retain account and transaction data for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with legal, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations. You can request deletion of your account and personal data at any time, subject to records we're legally required to keep.

6. Your rights

You can access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data by contacting us at abubakarjibrilharun@gmail.com. You can also update most of your profile information directly from your account settings.

7. Security

Passwords are hashed, not stored in plain text. Payment card data is handled entirely by Paystack and never touches our servers. No system is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security of information transmitted online.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date.
